How can you help dogs (and cats) with no names?

shelter pup

If you are looking for a pet - please go to a shelter and consider giving a dog or cat with no name a home

Buying a pet from a store or an ad encourages puppy and kitten mills, as well as indiscriminate breeding. If you are looking for a particular breed, go to a breed dedicated rescue group or a reputable breeder who doesn't mind showing you the parents.

Volunteer or donate to your local rescue group or shelter

Find a shelter or rescue group in your area and volunteer time to feeding, walking or even fostering dogs and cats. If you don't have spare time, cash donations are always welcomed. They can also use donations of supplies such as collars, towels, bowls, toys, etc. Or they may need help with websites, events or record keeping. Think about what resources you may be able to offer to help dogs and cats with no names.
